"SWORDFISH" is a 53' Carolina Sportfisher, originally built as the Marlin Fever.
The hull was laid out and built by Paul Mann and finished off by Bobby
Sullivan. Swordfish is a Plank on Frame hull overlaid with fiberglass. This,
and the traditional "Carolina Flair," allows Swordfish to perform exceptionally
well in various sea conditions.
With Captain Chuck Gregoryat the helm, SWORDFISH has earned a reputation of being a
top billfish boat. SWORDFISH has placed in the top 5 in most tournaments and
was Top Boat in such prestigious tournaments such as the Hatteras Village,
Virginia Beach Billfish, Alice Kelly, and the Alison White Marlin Tournament.
SWORDFISH has an air conditioned salon, satellite radio, HDTV and DVD player, as
well as a refrigerator, and ice maker. All for your comfort and enjoyment. We
provide Schimano, Tiagra and Penn, International, tackle. Always tournament
ready for professionals, and that once in a lifetime Grander that crashes the
spread, our equipment is ready for the challenge.
The Swordfish is maintained in bristol condition
inside and out. All equipment is kept to top notch
standards including her engine room and machinery
spaces where a Caterpillar 3406 800 h.p. motor
beats a perfect
tune.
